This is the first in a series of collaborations between artists on the Cryo Chamber dark ambient label on the theme of the Lovecraftian Elder Gods. As you would expect if you've read your Lovecraft and listened to dark ambient material before, it's intensely atmospheric and ominous, with a pervasive sense of cosmic dread and impending doom. The slow buildup as the eponymous deity slowly stirs from his long slumber is extremely effective. I'll definitely be checking out others in the series.
