"In June, a planned EDM session suddenly tumbled into darkness. The gloomy, lingering and somewhat gritty version of Misantronics crawled out of his hibernation. The dance beats disappeared and made way for impending drones. 'Ortus' was born, the start of a new Misantronics album. From the moment on, the focus was on one question: 'How far can I stretch the Misantronics sound before it's no longer Misantronics?'.

The answer is: 'quite far, apparently'."
