From thee artist:
Except for 'Woodland Retreat', all of thee rekordings presented here were rekorded over thee kourse of one week between 4am - 5am. I would force myself out of bed to work on these for one hour and then go bak to bed...Thee short deadline I set myself meant that I did not have time to get used to thee 'routine'. It was intended that I would remain as 'asleep' as possible during thee rekordings to allow thee subkonscious more kontrol over thee kreative process.
'Woodland Retreat' features P23, Subliminal Minnie and Jon (Honey Ride Me A Goat). Thee sounds for this were rekorded in a wood by thee three artists sitting in trees with thee mikrophone suspended between us. Instrumentation for this inkluded Tibetan horns, singing bowls and Aura Chimes. Thee rhythmik perkussion sounds were kreated by tapping branches against thee tress we were sat in. Whilst we were rekording this an old kouple walking their dog stumbled akross us. They said that they kould hear 'beautiful sounds' ekoing through thee woodland and had to investigate, although they deklined an offer to join us in thee trees to rekord some sounds... :)
Also inkluded is thee bonus 23mins komposition 'A Soundtrak For Dream States', intended to be played during sleep, and thee original booklet featuring text (taken from Automatik Writings) and artwork.
